Our Mission at POCWASN
We are a Non-Profit Organization - 501(c)3. Our goal is to provide services to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul of the families/caregivers who dedicate themselves to the service of caring for people with special needs. We aspire to change the quality of life for all our clients by providing excellent self-care services. We are devoted to supporting the parents and primary caretakers of individuals with disabilities.
iCare
The iCare program focuses on ensuring the health and well-being of parents and caregivers so that they can address the unique and pervasive physical and emotional challenges of their caregiving role from a place of health and well-being. In addition, our self-care services offer relief and relaxation from the stress many of us face in our day-to-day lives.
Meet Our Founder, Syrenthia Colino
A pivotal moment in Syrenthia's journey as a caregiver and advocate prompted her to establish iCare4MeFirst. Recognizing that not all caregivers could fully benefit from existing services, she transitioned from her role at POCWASN to address this gap. As the founder of POCWASN, her initial focus was on providing comprehensive support to parents and caregivers of individuals with diverse abilities. However, she realized that some faced barriers to accessing these resources. Therefore, iCare4MeFirst was born, offering tailored self-care resources to caregivers with unique challenges. This pivot expanded her advocacy beyond what she had imagined, allowing her to innovatively reach a broader audience and support caregivers' well-being.
